National Children's Dental Health Month!

February
 is
National Children's Dental Health Month.
The American Dental Association sponsors National Children's Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.

The Tooth Fairy and our Dr.'s with their assistants recently visited some of the schools in our area. They encouraged the children to brush at least twice a day and floss daily. They also encouraged the children to see their dentist twice a year for a cleaning and examination. The assistants gave the children a demonstration on how to floss. They stood several children in a row, as if they were teeth next to each other. Sugarfree suckers were stuck to them. Using a peice of rope, they went up and down between the children, knocking off the suckers. This was fun for the kids to see how flossing is a benefit to them.

The Tooth Fairy demonstrated how to brush their teeth. She let the children take turns brushing the teeth of her dragon friend, Sparkle!
